METCO DIRECTORS' ASSOCIATION

The first MDA Conference was organized in 1984 in an effort to provide staff development and information for educators and community members who worked with African-American children in suburban school settings. Now in its 42nd year, the MDA Conference continues its commitment to the cultural development and academic achievement of children of color with keynote speaker Dr. Gholdy Muhammad. We start each conference with the premise that all children can learn, must learn, and will learn. This year's theme is "Student Voice In Leadership: Education for Democracy, Equity, and Agency."
